“How much does it cost to…”
“The cost of a service will depend on several things, including the parts needed and how much labor will be involved. After the technician takes a look at the situation, he will give you an up-front price and get your approval before they start the work. If you decide to not have the work done, our minimum service charge is $39.50 for residential service calls.
“Do you give free estimates?”
Yes, on replacement jobs for water heaters, water softeners, heating and air systems, duct work and sewer, water and gas lines, We also offer free estimates on large commercial or residential remodel jobs. “What are your normal business hours?”
Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm
Saturday, 8:00am to noon
We are available 24 hours a day for emergencies
“Can I schedule an appointment for an exact time?”
We do our best to work with your schedule, but unfortunately it is difficult to schedule exact appointment time for all service calls. We do offer first calls in the morning at 8:30 a.m. We also reserve one-hour window calls for Super Service Club members during normal business hours. We’d also be happy to call you at work or on your cell phone before we arrive, so you don’t have to wait around all day.
“Do you go out of town?”
Yes. Scottco will service homes and business within a 60-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. Mileage fees may apply to some out-of-town calls. Please call us at 806-355-4663 for more information.
“What guarantees or warranties do you offer on your services and products.”
We warranty all repairs for 30 days. There is a one year warranty on all installations including, water heaters, coils, condensers, furnaces and sewer, water and gas lines. We also offer extended warranties on installations. Please contact us for more information about extended warranties.
I have a home warranty with a home warranty company. Can you do the work?”
Yes, just give us a call and let us know your situation. We do not work directly for home warranty companies, so your warranty company will need to reimburse you for any work that is done.

Heating & Air
Is there anything I can do to make my current system last longer?
One of the easiest ways to extend the life of your heating and air system is to change your air filters every 30 days. Dirty filers can reduce your system’s efficiency and result in more frequent repairs. To help you remember to change your filters, Scottco offers a free filter change email reminder service. Pre-season tune-ups are also highly recommended for your furnace, air conditioner and/or heat pump. Should I get an evaluation of my electrical system?
You should get an Electrical Evaluation according to the Electrical Safety Foundation if:
• Your home is 40 years old or older
• Your home has had a major addition, renovation or major new appliance added in the last 10 years.
• Your lights often flicker or dim momentarily
• Your circuit breakers trip or fuses blow often
• Your outlet and light switch plates are hot to the touch or discolored
• You hear crackling, sizzling or buzzing for your outlets
• You use extension cords and multiple power strips permanently in use around the house.

“Can I pay for my membership annually?”
Yes, but the cost of an annual membership is $179.00 for the Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Plan and $249.00 for the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical Plan. If you would like to cover additional heating and air systems, each additional system cost $110.00 each year. If you would like to pay annually, please contact us at 806-355-4663.
“Why does it cost more to pay annually?”
Annual memberships require annual renewal processing and billing. Monthly payments are automated and therefore we can pass our administrative savings on to you.
“I don’t have central air conditioning. What is the cost to cover my home?
The minimum Super Service Club membership price is $12.50 a month.”
“I’m a property manager. Do you give discounts for multiple homes being covered by the Super Service Club?”
